Things to do while visiting Los Angeles--Performance Venues
|Grand Performances, a nonprofit arts institution, is one of Southern California’s largest presenters of free performing arts programs. The Grand Performances @ California Plaza venue is a downtown attraction featuring lunch hour concerts, an evening and weekend series, festivals, commissioned choreographies, and extended theatrical runs each year. Events are conducted from late June through the end of October, and all events are free to the public.|
The site also contains the upper station for Los Angeles’ historic Angels Flight cable railway, and the Watercourt, one of the region’s most elaborate water fountains.
